Israel Feldman′ Picture

Israel Feldman

Israel Feldman graduated in agronomy from the Universidad Nacional de La Plata and completed his MSc at the University of Nebraska. He worked as an INTA researcher in grassland management and later in range and brush management . As a consultant he has worked on many projects planning agro-forestry and range enterprises and has many scientific publications and reports, also finding time for lecturing as Professor of Plant Ecology at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario. In his spare time he is also a rancher!! He has been vice -president of the Ecological Society of Argentina. He was the Founding President of the Argentinean Association for Range Management from 1999 to 2001 and from 2007 to 2009.

Guillermo Chiossone′ Picture

Guillermo Chiossone

Guillermo Chiossone is an Agricultural Engineer (Universidad Nacional de Rosario, 1978), with postgraduate studies in Planning and Rural Development (CERUR-MASHAV, Israel, 1994). He has worked in rural planning in Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador and Venezuela. Currently, he is part of Animal Production Group at El Colorado Experimental Station, INTA, Formosa, Argentina. He works in Rural Extension and Adaptive Experimentation on Rangelands to promote sustainable production systems for livestock farmers. He has written and edited 10 release publications on the subject. He is a founding member of the Argentinean Association for Range Management, former President (2001-2003) and current Secretary.

Gabriel Oliva′ Picture

Gabriel Oliva

Gabriel Oliva is a rangeland ecologist at the Santa Cruz Experimental Station of the National Institute for Agricultural Technology, INTA, at Río Gallegos, Santa Cruz, Argentina. He holds a PhD in Biology from the Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires, and has worked in South Patagonia since 1989 in the Natural Resources group, holding different administrative positions, including Director of the Station. He is also Professor in Natural Resources Engineering at the Universidad de la Patagonia Sur. His activities have been focused in rangeland evaluation, monitoring and genetic resources, and has taken part in different programs to fight desertification in the region.

María Cristina Goldfarb′ Picture

María Cristina Goldfarb

Maria Cristina Goldfarb is a Researcher in Forage Resources for the region of the humid subtropic. She is in charge of the Work group of the Forage Sector, Corrientes Experimental Station, INTA, Corrientes, Argentina.  Agronomic Engineer from the Faculty of Agrarian Sciences, UNITES, 1975. She holds a MSc. from the Faculty of Agronomy, UFRGS, 1989 and a PhD. from the Faculty of Agronomy, UFRGS, 1993. Coordinator and Conductor of projects in different themes related to rangelands and cattle production.  Professor of Animal Science, Faculty of Agrarian Sciences, UNITES. She is conductor of degree and graduate thesis. She has participated in multiple national and international courses, updates and technical missions. She has several national and international publications in meetings, universities and congresses on subjects relative to rangelands, pastures and silvopastoral systems. She is also a Project Evaluator and member of several Publishing Committees, Scientific Societies and Technical Committees.

Susana Feldman′ Picture

Susana Feldman

Susana R. Feldman is an Angronomic Engeneer (Universidad Nacional de Rosario, UNR) and Doctor in Biology, Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. She works as Professor of Biology at the UNR, is Member of the CIUNR, Scientific Research Council of UNR, and is the Coordiantor of the Master of Natural Resources and Conservation, UNR. She has published on plant population biology (weeds as well as native plants) and grassland dynamics, mainly related to the effect of disturbance regimes (mostly fire) on plant communities in Argentinean and international scientific journals and has colaborated as member of several Publishing Committees and Scientific Societies. Nowadays she is interested in bioethanol production using rangelands with a sustainable point of view, bioremediation using native rangeland plants, and carbon sequestration.

Carlos Rossi′ Picture

Carlos Rossi

Carlos A. Rossi is a Zootechnician Engineer from the Universidad Nacional de Lomas de Zamora (UNLZ) and completed his MSc in Animal Production at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (Arg). He has worked as researcher and Professor in grassland and rangeland in Silvopastoral Systems in the Arid and Semiarid rangeland of the NW of Argentina from 1981 to 1889. Currently he is Director of the Silvopastoral Program and Professor of Forage and Rangeland in the UNLZ. He is also Director of the Silvopastoral Project in the delta of Paraná River. He has many scientific publications and reports in grassland, rangeland and Silvopastoral System.

Gabriela Laura González graduated as an Agricultural Engineer from the Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias, Universidad Nacional de Lomas de Zamora, Argentina, where she works as a Professor and Investigator in Ecology and Phytogeography. Her work areas are Rangeland Ecology and Silvopastoral Systems. She has 8 years of experience in Organic Production systems, having performed Coordination and Certification tasks for private companies. At the moment she attends a Masters in Farming Sciences at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. She has published diverse articles in national and international scientific magazines.

Mónica Sacido′ Picture

Mónica Sacido

Mónica Sacido is an Agricultural Engineer (Universidad Nacional de Rosario), holds a Doctor Degree by the Universidad de Malaga, Spain and an MSc in Agroecology and Sustainable Rural Development. At the moment exerts the Vice-Direction of the research group CIISAS-UNCPBA. She is Forage and Pasture Management Professor and Director of the Master in Teledetection and Geographic Information Systems, UNCPBA and Director of the Postdegree Course in Precision Agriculture. She has participated in trainings in international organisms and obtained complete Scholarships. She directs doctorate's and master's thesis. She is a research projects evaluator. She directs and codirects various research groups. She has several publications, two Books, book Chapters, complete works in referred publications and numerous National and International conferences.

Enrique Luis Orionte is a Rangeland Ecologist of the La Rioja Experimental Station, INTA. He graduated as Agricultural Engineer from the Universidad Privada Del Centro, Río Cuarto, Córdoba. He worked in INTA San Luis, San Luis, as member of the Rangelands Group, dedicated to the investigation in Ecology and Rangeland Management of the Semi-arid - Barren Region of the North of Argentina. He also has been, and currently is, dedicated to Phytogenetic Resources of native forage species for the rehabilitation of degraded areas and biodiversity conservation. He is a member of the AAMPN.

Hugo Permingeat is a Professor in Biochemistry and the General Secretary at the Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias, Universidad Nacional de Rosario. He holds a PhD degree in Plant Biotechnology. His areas of interest are Plant Biotechnology and Plant Molecular Biology. He has worked on the development of transgenic plants (especially cereals) with transgenes of agronomic interest.

Andrés Cibils (Internacional)

Andrés F. Cibils received a B.S. in Animal Science (Zootechnician Engineer) from the Universidad Nacional de Lomas de Zamora (Arg) in 1984, a MSc. and PhD in Rangeland Ecosystem Science from Colorado State University in 1996 and 1999, and was a post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Renewable Natural Resources at the University of Arizona between 2002 and 2003. Andrés is currently an Associate Professor of Rangeland Science in the Department of Animal and Range Sciences at New Mexico State University. David Asteggiano′ Picture

David Asteggiano

David Asteggiano is a Civil Engineer from the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas, Ingeniería y Agrimensura, of the Universidad Nacional de Rosario (UNR), where he was Dean from 1998 to 2007 and currently is Professor in the Area of Representation Systems. He is a Specialist in Economic Development by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He was also Vice-president of the Federal Council of Deans of Engineering. He is Co-director of the 1st Post Degree Seminar “Specialization in Innovation and Technological Management for the local development”. He is founding member of the Technological Pole of Rosario and member of the Promotional Commission of the Technological Scientific Park of Rosario and its region from year 2004. From December 2007 he is Secretary of State of Science, Technology and Innovation of the Government of the Province of Santa Fe.

Guillermo F. Becker is an Agricultural Engineer and holds an MSc. in Agrarian Sciences from the Universidad Nacional del Sur. He works at the “Dr. Grenville Morris” Experimental Station, National Institute for Agricultural Technology, I.N.T.A., in Bariloche, Río Negro Province, Argentina. He has worked in North Patagonia since 1979 in Rangeland Management and Improvement and Forage Plants Evaluation. He takes part in different projects related with Rangeland Collection and Introduction of Native and Naturalized Forage Germplasm Species. Currently, he is the Coordinator of Natural Resources Research Area and Substitute Director of the Experimental Station.

Elizabeth Jacobo is an Agronomic Engeneer and MSc in Natural Resources (Universidad de Buenos Aires). She is full Professor in Forage Science at the Facultad de Agronomía, Universidad de Buenos Aires. Her areas of interest are Ecology and Management of Rangeland and Ecophysiology of Forage Plants. She has worked on the development of grazing methodology aimed at reverting the deterioration processes in the Flooding Pampa and other ecological areas in Argentina.

Cristian R. Feldkamp′ Picture

Cristian R. Feldkamp

Cristian R. Feldkamp is Agricultural Engineer graduated in the Universidad Nacional de Entre Ríos, Argentina and Doctor rerum agriculturarum by the Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany. He has participated and directed research and development studies in Argentina, Germany and Brazil in subjects as rangelands, ruminant nutrition, cow-calf systems, application of thermodynamics to the study of the farming systems behavior, traceability and quality follow-up in the chains of supply, production systems and modeling. He has participated as lecturer in congresses, seminaries and graduate studies in Argentina, Germany, Brazil and Mexico. Currently, he is associated professor of “Production Economics” at the Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias of the Universidad de Concepción del Uruguay, and lecturer of “Beef cattle production” of the Facultad de Agronomía of the Universidad de Buenos Aires. He also works as a private consultant in beef production systems and runs his cow-calf ranch.

Enrique Ocampo is an Agricultural Engineer graduated at the Universidad de San Luis (UNSL) in 1982. Since 1979, being undergraduate student, has worked in Range Management. He integrates several research projects, always related to the dynamics and evaluation of the pastures of the Dry-semiarid West Centre. Currently devoted to health management of natural forage species of the San Luis province, acts, in addition, as Adjunct Professor of Range Managementng at the UNSL. Member of the Argentine Association for Range Management.

Jorge Omar Scheneiter

Ing. Agr., M. Sc. in Animal Production, UNMdelP, oriented in pasture production and management. From 1983, has worked in tempered pastures in INTA, with emphasis in mixtures of tempered grasses and clovers. In the last years his works have been focused in tempered grasses and legumes demography and plasticity. He has published works in national and international congresses and magazines. At the moment he is National Coordinator of INTA’s Strategic Area of Forage and Pastures.

José Augusto Weber is an Agronomist Engineer, Facultad de Agronomía y Veterinaria de Esperanza (FAVE), Universidad Católica de Santa Fe, 1967.  MSc. in Fertility and Soil Management, Universidad Católica de Chile, 1971.

He is currently Coordinator of Production and Service Units of INTA (National Coordination of Technological Link). He chairs the Civil Association "Strengthening Innovation and Rural Development (FORINDER).
